A record of rebuilding strength through injuries, missed weeks, meet-day pressure, and the slow confidence that comes from showing up again.

The Journey

Foundation & Learning
Jun — Aug 2024
Starting out at 75-76kg bodyweight. Squat 85→100kg, Bench 65→75kg, Deadlift 120→125kg. Hip flexor injury early on. Learning hook grip, bracing, mobility. Got first lever belt + SBD sleeves.
Volume Block
Aug — Sep 2024
Full Block 1 implementation. Squat hit 115kg top set, Deadlift 135kg. Brain fog, over-caffeination, form adjustments. Lever belt + SBD sleeves = immediate comfort boost.
First Competition — NQ1
Sep 2024 — May 2025
Long prep block targeting TAAP NQ1 (May 26, 2025). Managed QL soreness, rotator cuff, wrist nerve flare. Almost didn't compete — weight category stress 12hrs out. Coach said "go as guest lifter" → mental reset. 9/9 whites, PR on every lift.
🏆 Qualifier 3 — 430kg Total
Aug — Nov 8, 2025
11-week competition block. Injuries, sickness ×3, QL flares, -45 day break from PL, mental exhaustion. Still showed up. Squat 145, Bench 90, Deadlift 195 — all PRs. 9/9 whites. +40kg total in 6 months.
Recovery & Return
Nov 2025 — Apr 2026
45-day break post-comp ("I miss powerlifting, it kills me every single day"). Gradual return Jan→Feb with hypertrophy splits. Back to structured training Feb 2025. Ready for 2026 cycle.
